This is why when you open my tool shed, you will see all the best gadgets, equipment and tools available. For any family man who enjoys building cabinets, shelves, and even tree houses for his kids, having a reliable drill is definitely a must. The Bosch DDS181-01 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch, one of the best cordless drills in the market today, has given me everything that I need in a drill and even more. Many construction large construction companies and smaller home builders are also avid fans of this product as it has proved to be their best companion for all their building and carpentry needs.

There are several reasons why I find the Boch Cordless drill truly worth the investment I made on it:

1.) Versatility.
This cordless drill is great for just about any type of work that I do. Whether I am working on metal or wood, it provides me with the right amount of drilling power to ensure that all my projects are done with a smooth and durable finish.

2.) Ease of use.
This drill is made with a 7-inch head, which is the smallest of its kind. Despite its size however, it still delivers top-of-the-line heavy-duty performance. The best thing that I like about this drill is that it so easy to handle. It is made with a Durashield housing making it so durable that it does not easily crack even if it falls up to ten feet. It has an innovative, ergonomic design involving soft-grip housing so that my hands do not hurt even if I have been drilling for several hours.

3.) Powerful battery system.
When it comes to the battery, you can choose among three options: a 1.3 Ah slim pack lithium-ion battery or a 2.6 lithium-ion fat pack battery or a 3.0 Ah lithium-ion fat pack battery. If you are after a longer run time, it would be best for you to go with the fat pack battery. In my own experience, the run time of this 18v drills on a single 30-minute charge allowed me to drill for more or less an hour without having to recharge. This is the beauty of using lithium-ion batteries. The strength and power will allow you to continue drilling as much as you want to without much down time in between.

4.) Reliable warranty.
I am very particular when it comes to warranty so when I purchased this drill, I was happy to know that I get a 30-day money back guarantee as well as a one-year warranty for the product.

With just about anything that is seemingly perfect, there are some things that I feel this drill needs to improve. The electronic cell and its motor protection automatically shuts down the drill just when it begins to overheat. I have experienced some jams a number of times too but that does not change the fact that I am still a strong advocate of this cordless drill.

When this drill became available for sale at the nearby construction and building store, I immediately bought one for myself. If you are thinking of getting one, make sure to check out online sellers to find the best prices. Having a Bosch DDS181-01 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch in your arsenal of home building tools is definitely a great idea. It provides you with terrific ease of use and long running times so you can drill away on all your home building projects.
